National Public Lands Day Stewardship Event
Join FRVC for National Public Lands Day as we partner with the Angeles National Forest, Leave No Trace, and the California Conservation Corps for a morning of hands-on stewardship along the East Fork of the San Gabriel River.
Volunteers will help with recreational dam removals and fire ring removals near The Oaks Picnic Area, supporting healthier stream flow, protecting riparian habitat, reducing impacts to sensitive areas, and helping keep this treasured public land safer and more resilient for visitors, wildlife, and future generations.
Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
Time: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM
Location: East Fork of the San Gabriel River at The Oaks Picnic Area
Partners: Angeles National Forest, Leave No Trace, California Conservation Corps
Online training will be available for anyone who wants to learn more about recreational dam removals before the event.
